Coach Chris White. The Last Coach You'll Need.
Played pro. Trained pros. Built D1 athletes. Backed by science. Certified at the top. Every athlete at Code 8 trains with the same coach who has measured, engineered, and verified athletes at every level — from middle school to the league.
Built on Receipts. Not Resume Polish.
Every number above means something specific. Here's what's behind each one.
Started in collegiate strength & conditioning. Compounded through pro-tier private training and the highest levels of NCAA D1. Every level of athlete — middle school recruits to professional rosters — coached under the same standard.
NFL · NBA · WNBA · MLB · AVP · CFL · NCAA D1. Trained under Dr. Marcus Elliott at P3 with NBA, NFL, MLB, and AVP athletes. Built D1 athletes who went on to compete and get drafted in every major league.
Cal Poly Mustangs. Where the foundation was built and refined. LSU Tigers. Where the standard was set at the highest level of NCAA D1 athletics. Two programs. Same commitment to verified outcomes.
CSCS (NSCA). SCCC (CSCCa). USAW Level II (USA Weightlifting). Senior RKC (Russian Kettlebell). Plus M.S. in Kinesiology and a PhD in Exercise Physiology in progress.
Trained Under the Best. Then Built the Standard.
Every coach picks up methods along the way. The question is who they picked them up from — and what they did with them. Here's the path.
Trained NBA, NFL, MLB, and AVP athletes at one of the most respected applied sports science facilities in the country. Force plates, biomechanics, and data-driven decision-making — learned at the source where the modern standard was set.
Built the foundation as a D1 strength & conditioning coach at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Position-specific periodization, in-season durability, and recruit-development pipelines — the proving ground for the methodology that would be refined at the higher levels.
Operated at the highest level of NCAA Division I athletics at LSU and coached private pro groups in parallel. Athletes who went on to compete in the WNBA, NBA, NFL, AVP, and pro indoor volleyball. Where the standard Code 8 athletes train under today was set.
Every method at Code 8 came from somewhere it had to actually work.
I Saw the Gap. Nobody Was Closing It.
After sixteen years in this work, playing pro, training pros at P3 under Dr. Marcus Elliott, building D1 athletes at Cal Poly and LSU, I saw something that bothered me.
The athletes I trained at the top tier had access to force plates, motion capture, laser timing. Their training was measured, periodized, verified. Every adjustment was data-driven. Every plan was individualized. Every result was provable.
Below that tier, almost nobody had any of it.
“Talent gets identified at every level. Verified athletic development doesn't.
That's the gap Code 8 was built to close. Bring the elite-tier methodology — the measurement, the engineering, the verification — to the athletes who actually need it.
The HS recruit trying to separate from the field. The college athlete looking for the gain their team S&C can't give them. The pro who needs to peak at the right moment. The athlete coming back from injury who deserves data, not a hunch.
No more guesswork. No more "how does it feel." Just verified output, engineered for the athlete in front of me.
That's the work.
The Work Lives Inside a Life.
The resume is real, but it isn't the whole story. I'm a husband and a father first. The work I do at Code 8 has to fit inside a life that includes a wife, kids, and everything else that actually matters.
My family is my baseline. They keep me honest about what's worth doing and what isn't. Every athlete I take on is time I'm not spending with them — so the work has to be worth that trade. That's why Code 8 stays selective. Why we say no. Why the standard never drops.
The athletes who train here aren't just clients. They're people I've chosen to invest my time in. That matters to me. It should matter to you too.
The work has to fit inside a life worth living.
Selective by design. We say no so we can say yes well.
Every athlete I coach is time invested. The work has to deserve it.
